Derrick Green has taken Virginia Tech off his list of college finalists, he said today at his U.S. Army All-American Bowl invitation presentation. Tech’s spot has been replaced by Miami.
Green has more than 30 scholarship offers and originally narrowed his choices down to a final six: Auburn, Michigan, Mississippi, Oregon, Tennessee and Virginia Tech. A high school football player is allowed five official visits. He has taken three so far: Auburn, Michigan and Tennessee.
He said he intends to take all five. But he can visit only two of his remaining three schools, Oregon, Mississippi and Miami. Green said he’s unsure which two he will visit.
